Family Safari

This is a family Tanzanian safari, but at such a good rate that we had to include it in our tour offerings!

This 12 days Big Five African Safari departs from the town of Arusha in Northern Tanzania and heads out on a journey to discover three of the top game parks in Tanzania.

Our first stop will be Tarangire National park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater followed by the famous Serengeti National Park and lastly to the Zanzibar beach holiday.

Each destination has something unique to offer from wide open plains with untamed wildlife to Africa’s Big 5 and stunning vistas. An affordable and fun journey through a truly magnificent region of the world!

Day 1: Arrival
You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by our representative. We will take you to the designated hotel or lodge for dinner, bed and breakfast. All the hotel and lodges selected on this tour will suite the need of any family safari in Africa.

Day 2: Tarangire
Your tour starts with the drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippos and others.

Day 3: Exploring Lake Manyara and its surroundings
After spending most of the previous days in the car you might enjoy to get out of the car for some physical activities and to explore the area at the Rift Valley Escarpment by walk guided by well-trained local guides. First you walk through Mto wa Mbu Village where your guides introduce you to the local village and social life, to economic activities, education and many others things. Instead of the village tour your guides can also take you to a large banana plantation, one of the basics of local economy life and explain you about this agricultural meaning. Later you can walk through a small forest inhabited by monkeys and dikdiks which leads to Miwaleni River. Following the river is a thrilling (maybe little strenuous) hike and climb over rocks and stones until you finally reach Miwaleni Waterfall hidden in the Rift Valley Escarpment.

After lunch at your lodge or in the village and some rest the kids can go for a bicycle ride in the plains towards Lake Manyara while one of the friendly staff members will happily accompany them. The second overnight at Rift Valley Lodge. All meals included.

It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations and one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in its natural habitat. Don’t miss a tour to Ngorongoro Crater whereby you will descend to the crater and experience a full game drive with lots of wildlife and birds. Late afternoon you will ascent the crater and drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
